Did you deicde you want to hand stitch your cosplay costume for the upcoming convention? If possible gather some cosplay besties (or video chat) and sew together. WOOHOO COSPLAY GIRL PARTY!!.
Threading a needle can sometimes be the hardest part of hand stitch sewing. But, don't worry we've got you covered! Follow these basics steps to thread your needle.
Step 1: Using a sharp (preferably sewing) scissors cut your thread at an approximate 45 degree angle.
Step 2: Pass the cut end of the thread through the eye of the needle. TIP: Dampen the cut end of the thread before feeding it through the eye of the needle.
Step 3: Pull about half of the thread through the eye. Tie the two ends of the thread together.
Congratulations! You should now have one wonderfully threaded needle. Happy Sewing.

Tips to remember when molding:
1. Do not wear your favorite outfit. Clay makes your clothes dirty!
2. Wear gloves so that the clay/ mold does not get stuck to your hands when you are sculpting.
3. Keep your hair out of your face. Nothing is yuckier than clay stuck in hair... Ok we lied the creepers are conventions are actually yuckier!!
4. Take your time to perfect your sculpture before it dries. Once the mold is dry there's no going back.
5. Have fun! Molding can be fun with friends. Or if you are a do-it solo kind of girl; feel free to put on some of your favorite tunes while sculpting.
Goodluck ladies. Remember you can always contact us here at Cosplayers Unite with any questions.
